For an absolute beginner, learning to play can be just a tad bit discouraging. Your fingers get sore and your wrist starts to cramp. However, sticking with it is key, even if you can only stand to practice for mere minutes per day. After a while, your fingers will become tough and your wrist muscles will become used to being used in ways in which they were never meant to be used.

Others sites have numerous instructors, and provide tutorials on many different playing methods and music genres.

Experts recommend that you figure out which playing style you'd like to adopt, and stick with trying to learn that. Once you've decided, it'll be easier to decide which tutorial websites or DVDs that you'd like to go with.
