For particular studies where the final highest degree is masters, those individuals are eligible who will be starting a Master of Fine Arts Program in the next academic year.
Eligible applicants attending a graduate program, which will eventually lead to terminal master's degree or a doctorate in the specified field at the higher education institution, authorizes by an accrediting agency, which has gained recognition by the Secretary of the US Department of Education. The applicants who are pursuing their course in the foreign institution are not eligible.
Javit fellows are eligible to receive loan, grant and work assistance in accordance to the Section 484 of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended and students previously recipient of Javits fellowship are ineligible.
